Brock Lesnar Just Revealed His UFC 200 Opponent

About a week ago the WWE made the surprise announcement that Brock Lesnar would have a “one-off opportunity” to fight at UFC 200. Lesnar had retired from MMA a few years ago due to his ailing health at the time that significantly affected his career in the octagon. With that in mind, it didn’t take long for the 38-year-old to reveal who his opponent will be at the event.

“I do believe that it’s done and official, and on July 9th I will be facing Mark Hunt,” Lesnar said during an interview on Monday morning with ESPN.

Hunt is a well-respected UFC fighter, who is coming off a first-round knockout against Frank Mir in March. In his MMA career, he has nine knockout wins and had fought for the interim championship in November 2014. The 42-year-old is also known for his powerful striking ability.

Meanwhile, Lesnar hasn’t fought in the UFC since he retired from the sport in 2011. He has since spent his time in the ring with the WWE but has been in much better physical shape and even stated on Monday hat he feels “1,000 percent.” Either way, it should make for a great fight at UFC 200.
