Demar Derozan Surprisingly Opens Up Regarding Games 1 and 2, and Has a Special Message For Critics After Game 3

Demar Derozan and the Toronto Raptors were crushed by the Cleveland Cavaliers in Games 1 and 2. They looked as if they were way out of their league and the Cavs would go on to sweep them. Then, Game 3 was played and the Toronto Raptors struck back at home. Now that the tables have turned a bit, Derozan opened up to the media about how he really feels:

“When you see things and headlines, things being said and you really sit there and wonder where do y’all get this from? … It’s crazy to see it sometimes because people don’t understand how sick or upset we are after a loss, especially how we lost in the first too games. We felt embarrassed… The only way to shut it up is to go out and play.”

Obviously it’s upsetting when the whole NBA universe as trashing you but Derozan has found new motivation after the Game 3 victory. It’s hard to judge a team so definitively after just two games. That’s why we have seven-game series in the NBA today.

Derozan and his team will look to continue their winning ways in Game 4 against a motivated Cavs team that was just handed their very first loss in this year’s playoffs.
