Draymond Green Made These Surprising Comments After Game 3

The Golden State Warriors looked well in command of the NBA Finals after grabbing the first two games of the series over the Cleveland Cavaliers in convincing fashion. However, the Cavaliers came back firing in Game 3 blowing out the Warriors by 30 points. It was a disappointing performance that had Draymond Green make a surprising statement about his team’s play.

“I think we were extremely soft. We got bullied, punked, any other word that you can find for it. That’s pretty much what it was. And that’s why the game went the way it went. And everybody in that locker room knew we got punked. Ain’t too much to say.”

Golden State may be the superior team when it comes to overall talent, but the Cavaliers gave it to them on Wednesday night. Cleveland came out firing on all cylinders in the first quarter holding a 33-16 edge. The Warriors were able to cut the deficit to single digits at the half, but things quickly got out of hand in the second half with the Cavaliers putting the game out of reach.

It was a critical victory that has put Cleveland back in the series, but a loss in Game 4 could dispell all championship hopes for the franchise. They can ill-afford to head back to the Oracle Arena with Golden State having the opportunity to win the series on their home floor. It’s essentially an all-or-nothing Game 4 on Friday night for the Cavaliers.
