Gregg Popovich Just Complimented Kawhi Leonard The Only Way He Knows How



Throughout his first several years in the NBA, Kawhi Leonard has developed into one of the league’s best players. This has seen him put together strong performances on a daily basis for the San Antonio Spurs. Following yet another impressive outing, head coach Gregg Popovich gave one of his classic responses when asked about his All-Star forward.

These type of performances have become the norm for Leonard in his sixth season in the NBA. He has adapted quickly to the new responsibility as the top scoring option for the Spurs currently averaging 26.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He is the first Spur to average 25 points or more since Tim Duncan during the 2001-02 season, and just the fourth player in franchise history to do so.

Leonard has become arguably the best all-around player in the league that has accumulated many accolades over his NBA career. He is one of three player in NBA history ton win both NBA Defensive Player of the Year and NBA Finals MVP award. As long as he is able to remain healthy, Leonard has a chance to add much more hardware to his name.
