Kawhi Leonard Has Made His Availability Clear For Game 6 Against Rockets

The San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night got a huge victory in overtime in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinals series against the Houston Rockets. This was impressively accomplished in the extra period without the services of Kawhi Leonard due to an ankle injury. Following the game, Leonard made it clear he plans on playing in Game 6.

Leonard had suffered the injury midway through the third quarter after he stepped on James Harden’s foot. The fact that he is extremely confident that he will play should make it a non-factor. He will have a day to rest the injury before Game 6 on Thursday night in Houston.

Leonard has been a source of reliable production in the series averaging 23.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists through the first five games of the series. His presence on the floor on Thursday could help the Spurs take advantage of the opportunity to close the series out for a Western Conference finals matchup against the Golden State Warriors. All in all, it appears that there is no doubt that Leonard will be playing in Game 6.
