Kobe Bryant Has Been Rumored To Be Playing In Rio This Summer. Here’s His Response…

As the Summer Olympics get closer, rumors have been making the rounds regarding who will be playing on the USA basketball team. And despite Kobe Bryant insisting that he would not be playing in the Olympics as he completed his farewell tour, rumors have persisted that he could come back and go out as a world champion.

And especially with both Stephen Curry and LaMarcus Aldrige being forced to opt out of the Olympic games due to nagging injuries that they want to heal before the next NBA season, the need for Bryant to come back is strong as ever. But unfortunately, it didn’t take long for people to shut them down.

Here are his comments back in January which solidified the fact that his last game would be with the Lakers, not Team USA:

”Since my retirement announcement, I’m able to watch these guys in a different light,” said Bryant, a gold medalist in 2008 and 2012. ”I’ve come to terms with the fact that they are the future of this game. These are the guys who deserve the spots in Rio. These are the guys who people need to watch and root for. These are the guys to show fans where this game is going in the future.”

”I’ve had my moment,.”

Are you content with Kobe’s “moment” being over?
