Magic Johnson Fires Back At This Warriors Player’s Comment

The Golden State Warriors have put together one of the best seasons in NBA history that put them in the argument of being the greatest team ever. They have arguably the best shooting backcourt in league history that helped lead them to break the Chicago Bull’s NBA record of 72 regular seasons wins. This led Klay Thompson to proclaim that they would beat the Showtime Lakers, which led immediate backlash from the orchestrator of that team.

It’s hard to compare these two teams because they played in two completely different eras of the NBA. The Lakers were the team of the 1980s going to eight NBA Finals appearances and had won a championship five times. The team also featured three Hall of Famers and a Hall of Fame head coach.

Meanwhile, Golden State is in the midst of a historic offense that has been fueled by the three-point shot. It’s a matchup that has a fair argument for either side winning. This may be all hypothetical, but it just goes to show how great this year’s Warriors team has become.
