Richard Jefferson Just Took A Very Public Shot At The Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have been using the slogan and hashtag #WeTheNorth to represent themselves all year long. It’s sort of their calling card and motto and has grown in popularity throughout these NBA playoffs. After the Cleveland Cavaliers lost in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Raptors, Richard Jefferson made fun of the #WeTheNorth motto by saying this:

Jefferson is clearly just poking fun at the Raptors. No harm, no foul, but it will be entertaining to see how the Raptors will respond, if at all. Game 4 begins Monday night as both teams look to make a statement and get one game closer to reaching the NBA Finals.

The game will likely come down to who is mentally tougher and who makes the least amount of mistakes. It’s hard to tell what the outcome may be because, in Game 3, Cleveland did not look like the team they were when they won 10 straight playoff games.

Cleveland must come out swinging if they wish to come closer to closing out the Raptors and moving on to the Finals for the second year in a row.
