Tyson Chandler Reveals Surprising Remarks About The Suns

When Tyson Chandler signed with the Phoenix Suns last offseason, it helped spring hope that he could be one of the missing pieces to the puzzle for the franchise. Instead, the Suns were a disaster finishing with one of the worst records in the league. This hasn’t dismayed the veteran center from giving a positive review of his first season with the team in a recent interview with ESPN.

“I’m happy where I am,” he said Thursday. “I feel like the Suns have a bright future if we continue to build and build the right way. It’s all about building the right way.”

To be fair, the Suns had much promise heading into this past season with Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight manning the backcourt. However, injuries riddled the duo playing just 31 and 52 games respectively. All of this contributed heavily to the team’s s massive struggles in what was another disappointing campaign.

These injuries may have been a blessing in disguise as it allowed for rookie Devin Booker to provide much reason for hope moving forward. Booker made 51 starts while averaging 13.8 that helped him finish fourth in the 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year Award voting and earn NBA All-Rookie First Team honors. With a healthy roster in place next season, the Suns could be in line for some significant improvement.
