Warriors Are A Great Shooting Team, But Their Percentage Vs. Kyrie Irving In The Finals Is Ridiculous…

There’s a reason Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving has made it this far into the NBA finals. He has been an aggressive offensive player thus far and his quickness and dribbling skills have been stunning to say the least. However, not much good can be said about his recent defensive performance.

The first two games of the NBA Finals have shown the Golden State Warriors run away with two wins against the Cavs. And when analyzing the reasons, a major weakness of the Cavs has been Irving’s inability to defend against the Warrior’s impeccable shooting game.

Stephen A. Smith from ESPN’s First Take showed just how poorly he has performed vs. their shooting. Ready for it? Their shooting percentage is 78% when being guarded by Irving. Unbelievable. You don’t have to be a basketball analyst to know that something here has to change if they want to come back in this series. Skip to the 7:54 mark in this clip to hear the stat.
