You Will Never Believe What Brock Lesnar Did To Fight At UFC 200

A return to the UFC seemed like a farfetched idea over the last couple for WWE superstar Brock Lesnar. He had a brief tenure with the company that saw him quickly rise to the top and fall out of the spotlight due to an illness. With his the recent announcement of his comeback to the UFC, the 38-year-old revealed a shocking detail about he convinced WWE CEO Vince McMahon to agree to give him this one-time opportunity.

“I said, ‘Listen, old man, we can do this the hard way or the easy way. I said, ‘Do you wanna arm-wrestle for it?’ He was like, ‘Aw yeah, what the hell.’ So, I ended up beating him and here we are,” Lesnar said.

Lesnar also added that McMahon wasn’t trying to prevent him from returning to the UFC in any manner. In fact, the four-time WWE World Heavyweight champion believes that making this move only strengthens the company’s brand. Keep in mind, Lesnar is still scheduled to appear at Summer Slam later this year and may bring along a few other MMA fighters to compete in the event.
The WWE had to give way in some fashion, and by letting him fight in UFC 200 allows them to keep him under contract. They can’t afford to lose another superstar because of their rigid expectations. Either way you slice it, this is still great positive publicity for the company≥
