You Won’t Believe What This NBA Superstar Just Revealed

It’s a known fact that professional athletes are never 100 percent healthy. There’s always an ailment that’s bothering them throughout the year that goes unnoticed. Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague recently revealed on his Instagram account that he was playing with a serious injury for much this past season:

They wont tell y’all but I played with a tear in my patella the whole year and could barely jump or stop but it’s coo got that taken care #illbebackdunking #they wontsaythatpart

There was no indication that the Hawks guard was hindered by the partial tear in the patella tendon in his knee any point during the season. It was an injury that won’t require surgery to repair and is expected to heal on its own over offseason with rest. Teague also added that he was playing through  ankle and knee injuries as well. All of this more than likely wouldn’t have seen the light of day if Teague didn’t discuss it.

Although he took a step back from the previous season, the 27-year-old averaged 15.7 points on 43.9 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range along with 5.9 assists while missing just two games in the regular season. However, he struggled in the playoffs shooting just 38 percent from the field and 25 percent from beyond the arc in 10 games played. Teague is set to enter the final year of his contract that will pay him $8 million next season.
