After A Long Injury, Jamaal Charles Is Looking To Come Back In A Huge Way This Sunday

Injuries are a part of the NFL. Teams have to plan around the inevitable injuries that happen throughout a season in the toughest league in sports. This year has been particularly full of them, despite only being in it’s fourth week.

But Kansas City is actually on the opposite end of the injury spectrum, as they expect to see Jamaal Charles return from an ACL tear that kept him sidelined for a year. Charles is looking to make a big impact against the Steelers and prove why he’s still one of the best backs in the league. He’s currently listed as questionable, but that’s standard protocol for players returning from injury.

In his absence, the Chiefs have found success on the ground with Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West. West is out this week with a sprained ankle, so Charles will be splitting carries with Ware.

Though coming off an injury is always risky, a running back who’s had a year to rest is a scary thing to deal with for opposing defenses, especially when it’s a back as talented as Charles. Look for Charles to have a solid performance this week, and to become more dominant as the season progresses.
