Apparent Nobody Should Question Dwyane Wade’s Ability On The Court

Dwyane Wade through the first 13 years of his NBA career spent it all with the Miami Heat playing in the same role. He was able to develop his niche with the franchise playing a certain style of basketball. In a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune, Wade made a bold statement about what his career moving forward with the Chicago Bulls.

“My game translates anywhere,” Wade told K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

The 34-year-old has made his living on being a slashing-type guard that gets the bulk of his scoring from drives to the rim or cuts off the ball. Wade had occasionally included the mid-range game into his repertoire, but it was primarily focused on getting to the basket and getting to the foul line more than nine times a game during the prime of his career.

That said, his new head coach Fred Hoiberg wants him to emphasis using the 3-point shot in his game more with the Bulls. It would require a huge shift in his philosophy on the court. However, this could help extend his career a few more years with less physical wearing due to more shots being taken from the outside. It will be interesting to see how this next chapter of Wade’s career unfolds.
